We are overjoyed to announce the latest addition to the Pure7 family! On September 28, our longtime photographer, sales manager and friend, Lindsey, and her fiancé Josiah welcomed their first child into the world. Having known Lindsey for 7 years, and having considered her a part of our family for equally as long, we here at Pure7 would like to extend to her our most heartfelt congratulations on the birth of her baby boy,Elliot.

We have had the privilege of working with Lindsey throughout the many milestones that we’ve undergone with our own children and we are delighted for the opportunity to be there for her as she begins her passage into motherhood.

The magic of maternity is something that is not easy to describe, and it means very different things to different people. For some, it is a battle of strength and stamina, as you’re faced with untold sleepless nights and the uncertainty of whether or not you’ll ever feel rested again. For others, it’s a foreboding sense of helplessness and fear in the realization that you are now responsible for another human life, and your life is no longer your own. Being a new mother is complicated, exhausting, stressful… but most of all, it is rewarding.

“Children are a gift from the Lord, they are a reward from Him.”

From the whirlwind of emotions that any new mother experiences, nothing will ever compare to the joy of meeting your child for the first time. “It’s indescribable,” Lindsey said. “Even after a long nine months to prepare, the feeling of holding this perfect, innocent being in my arms was completely unexpected. It made all the days leading up to that moment seem so small in comparison.”

We are excited to be part of Lindsey’s journey, to be here as the love for her new family continues to blossom. You can ask a hundred different people about the best way to care for a newborn and you will get a hundred different answers but our confidence in Lindsey’s capability as a mother is boundless. Parenthood is the greatest blessing that we as humans will ever have bestowed upon us, but being extended family is the next best thing. They say it takes a village to raise a child but we’re pretty sure a studio can get the job done as well. There will be ups and downs, good times and bad, peaks and valleys, and everything in between; throughout every ebb and flow, always remember that your #pure7fam is here for you.
