We met this fun couple last spring when we shot their engagement portraits (you can see those here), so we already knew their wedding would be fantastic. We were absolutely thrilled, though, when it turned out to be even more fabulous than we ever anticipated. But we weren’t the only ones to fall in love with this classic Seaside wedding. Not one, but two industry publications chose to feature this beautiful day: wedding blog Borrowed and Blue, and this fall’s print edition of The Knot magazine.

Pure 7 Studios Seaside Wedding Angie and Mike

When you see the photos from Angie & Mike’s sweet rustic Seaside wedding, you’ll understand why it was so irresistible.

While dating apps have made meeting people a whole lot easier, Angie & Mike met the old fashioned way – through real live people. Angie’s hairstylist gets the credit for this one, as she was the matchmaker for her client and her husband’s friend, Mike. To make sure things went well, they made their first date a double with the matchmakers. The couple hit it off during a fun night out for dinner and a Pacer’s game, and their friends watched from the sidelines as the romance blossomed. We asked Angie about the magical evening Mike popped the question, and she was more than happy to share.

After a night out at Angie’s favorite restaurant, the couple headed home and Mike disappeared into another part of the house. As Angie was waiting for him on the couch, she realized that their dogs had also disappeared. Just moments later, however, all three of them reappeared together, dressed for the big moment that was about to happen.

“When they all came back,” Angie said, “the two dogs sat in front of me, one wearing a doggie tuxedo and the other wearing a scarf and bow tie that said ‘ring bearer.’ Mike got down on one knee and took the ring out of a little pocket on the scarf and proposed. I was thrilled that the whole family was included in the proposal!”

And the planning was on for their timeless Seaside wedding. Soft neutrals allowed the breathtaking Emerald Coast beaches and lovely Ruskin Place lawn to speak for themselves, creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable day. Angie was all smiles the entire day, and Mike’s face just lit up every time he looked at her. The couple said that seeing so many friends and family travel to 30A to witness their special day was the icing on the cake. For us, the icing on the cake was Angie’s response to seeing the photos.

“Thanks to Pure 7 for blowing us away with your talent! Not to mention how fun Ryan and Lindsay were the day of the wedding! They fit right in with our wedding guests and I’m pretty sure by the end of the night, I was asking them to join us on the dance floor.”

For the record, we wanted to join but resisted the urge!

The happy newlyweds headed to Italy for what Angie described as a spectacular honeymoon, full of pasta and wine (sounds awesome to us!). They chose to not have a set itinerary, opting instead to wake up each morning and see where the day took them. They wandered through Rome and Florence, taking in stunning architecture, popping into delicious local eateries to sample yummy cuisine, and meandering the streets looking for the best tiramisu they could find.

Angie & Mike are continuing their adventure, going into their one year anniversary celebrating the pending arrival of the best holiday gift there ever could be: a baby boy due in December. We’re seriously hoping this sweet family will head to the Emerald Coast next year for a little meet-and-greet, because what better way to follow up a Seaside wedding than with baby photos – in Seaside, of course!
