One of our best-loved wedding video highlight films now has a full-length version! We were absolutely dying to share it with you but had to wait until Mary Grace & Chad saw it first, so we contained ourselves until we got their thumbs-up. You know that feeling you got as a kid on Christmas Eve? That’s seriously how we feel waiting to hear from our clients when we send off a wedding video for approval. Their response was like coming downstairs to find a new Xbox under the tree.
“I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to relive these memories tonight.I absolutely love that our friends and family are the narrators throughout the film. Thank you so much for this gift – the ability to revisit such a beautiful night for years to come!” ~ Mary Grace & Chad Pinkard
There was so much we adored about this wedding video, not the least of which was the breathtaking Rosemary Beach Town Hall. At night. With votives and twinkle lights. The atmosphere was magical and the work of some of the top vendors on the Emerald Coast gave us fantastic sets on which to film scenes of this incredibly special day. The real content, though, came from the people.
We love that Courtney chose to start her Seaside wedding day by having her bridesmaids join her for morning yoga, because they definitely needed all their energy for this lively weekend! As you’ll see in the video at the end of this post, Courtney & Aaron’s Seaside wedding was a jubilant affair, filled with family, friends, and lots of laughter!
Rich Jewish traditions were woven throughout the entire day. As guests sipped champagne on the lawn at Ruskin Place, family gathered at Ruskin House for the signing of the Ketubah and their own special toast to the happy couple. Following the ceremony, enthusiastic guests were escorted by a live horn section through the cozy streets of Seaside to the next portion of the evening, held on Lyceum Lawn. There they were welcomed into a lavish tent drenched in breathtaking florals and chandeliers, and seated at gorgeous tables prepared for a wonderful celebration. As wine service began, the blessing over the wedding challah kicked off a reception that had guests dancing well into the night.READ MORE
One of our favorite 30A weddings this year turned out to be the perfect example of what happens when all the elements come together for the ideal wedding highlights video.
We were lucky enough to both photograph and film Randi & Ben‘s engagement session in NYC and their wedding day in Rosemary Beach. We really have had just the best time with this couple since we met last summer. When Alan showed the rest of the Pure7 team their completed wedding highlights video, we could not wait to send it to the bride & groom, because we knew they’d be thrilled. And we were right.
“I have dying all day not to watch this until Ben and I were together today post work,” Randi wrote. “We just got our first (and second and third) peek and it is just perfect. Well done, Alan!! Thank you all for capturing it so perfectly. We absolutely love it!”
we were fortunate enough to have the bulgarella’s purchase our milestones collection, which means we get to see and photograph them regularly. we met leslie and bob at church (the greatest church ever!), and are so glad they have become our clients and friends! they own the awesome restaurant bistro bijoux in baytowne wharf which if you haven’t tried… you should! here are some images from the newborn, 3 month, and 6 month sessions after the birth of their 2nd child, baby asher. he is getting SO big (and SO stinking cute), and we were excited to have his proud, big sister join him during the last session. we are looking forward to the rest of our shoots with this awesome family!
When the whole crew headed out to cover Spencer and Victoria’s Seaside wedding a few weeks ago, we knew, based on their engagement session we shot last fall, that this day would be bright and colorful. It did not disappoint! From the fabulous Valentino’s Victoria scooped up from eBay at $500 below retail (true story!) to the pink flamingos that became an unplanned theme, the details of the day perfectly showcased this couple’s funky personality.
Our tag team of Ryan & Lindsey were everywhere with film and digital cameras, while Alan was the usual fly-on-the-wall for the day, shooting video in his trademark style. The highlight reel is at the end of this post; if you want to see the groom cry, skip to the 01:06 minute mark.
The weather on March 19th was absolutely perfect. As we packed up our gear that morning and headed out to shoot their wedding video, we were convinced that Jennifer & Steven had ordered it specifically for their special day.
Seaside is just beautiful, so a wedding at the Chapel followed by a reception on Kelly Green in neighboring Alys Beach is a fantastic combination. Every intricate detail was attended to by the talented planners at It’s A Shore Thing, so we knew this would be a stunning wedding. We were not disappointed and, as captured in the highlights footage below, neither were the guests.
Our fly-on-the-wall and eye-in-the-sky coverage will make you feel like you were there. You’ll see that everyone had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the entire day, start to finish. The real question, though, was what would Jennifer & Steven think. We didn’t have to wait long to find out, and were thrilled with their response.
“We just watched the wedding highlights film and we are so in love with it!” Jennifer wrote. “Alan did such an amazing job!!”
Stay tuned for the full-length video coming soon (yay!), and feel free to forward this to any friends who are planning their wedding. We’d love to chat with them about creating their custom wedding video.
Oh, and if you want to catch the look on Steven’s face when he turns to see Jennifer for the First Look, skip ahead to the 01:10 mark. It will just…well, see for yourself. Then go ahead – watch it a few more times. We did (true story).
Suzi didn’t need to schedule hair+makeup for her senior session with Rachel Marie, Pure7’s apprentice photographer (more on Rachel in a future post!) because she cut off all her hair. If you know Suzi, you know she didn’t think twice about parting with her gorgeous curls at a time when many girls would be adding extensions. That’s because donating her hair to make a wig for a cancer patient was the priority on her to-do list. And that was just one of many things we loved about this girl and her senior session.
Wedding Season is our favorite, for sure. Well, Portrait Season is, also, because we meet the most amazing families, and how great is it to spend sunset on these gorgeous beaches for a living? And then there are the engagement shoots in NYC and commercial filming in Nashville, which makes us feel like we really do have the best of both worlds.
Our latest commercial video was a live recording session at Nashville’s Starstruck Studios for the band Nodaway, using a synchronous multi-cam setup. Our own Alan LeBlanc was all over it, of course (assisted by second shooter Erik Maynard), so we chatted with him about this project. If you’re interested in a little behind-the-scenes detail, read on after the video.
With clips of everything from South Walton Fashion Week to commercial lifestyle films, this reel shows the scope of projects that we’ve worked on recently. In addition to cinematic wedding films, which we absolutely love, we take pride in our ability to tell all types of stories through video.
Digital Graffiti was a filmmaker’s dream! We hit the jackpot with unrestricted access, a longer format, and free reign creatively to capture the high energy and colorful atmosphere of this one-of-a-kind event. Music videos, couture fashion shows, live concerts, and lifestyle films each give their own unique opportunities to step outside the box and find the angles that others miss. That’s why footage that ends up on the cutting room floor for no reason other than time constraints will always find a home in a film highlight reel.
