rafael and angie got married on a perfect day at the beach near the jetties. this was truly a flawless day, it looked like rain off in the distance, but it never did come a shore. the beach house that they got ready in was beautiful. from the top floor where angie was getting ready we could see dolphins all over jumping and riding the waves like they were body surfing. i have never seen dolphins like i did that day. another cool thing is the fact that raphael loves dolphins, it was like it was a sign from god that this was a blessed day. we only had the chance to meet angie & raphael a couple of days before the wedding. we felt an instant connection with them. raphael’s mother came with them to our consultation, an interesting thing about her is that she is from israel!!! she is one of the sweetest women i have ever met! i love her although i hardly know her. angie’s family were just as generous. the whole event was all about love of family. it was a pleasure to met and photograph this couple and their family and friends. – ryan

she is not “the” j lo, but she is a j lo. trey and jennifer were married in navarre on the beach. it was a small wedding with all their favorite people in attendance, most from louisiana. they were a lively bunch who knew how to have fun. i think they even had a crawfish boil! thanks guys, look us up when you are back in destin . -ryan
Two things were easy to see from the very first time we met Lauren… 1. She really wanted to plan a perfect wedding day so she could create a wonderful time and great memories for friends and family. 2. That she would make a beautiful bride (also check out her smokin’ hot bridal session, pt 1 & pt 2). I’m here to say that she accomplished both (sorry if you’re getting left out here, Brian… you’re not too shabby either)! The ceremony & reception were held at the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. This was one of the handful of times that both Ryan & his second shooter came home and both commented on the yummy food. Thank you, Brian & Lauren, to letting us get to know you and your family and sharing with us this precious day.
~Sadly, we have learned of the recent passing of Lauren’s stepfather, Vito Giannuzzi, pictured above. Surrounded by family, he passed away at home on Friday, May 22 just 13 days after the wedding. Lauren shared with us that he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer two and a half years ago and doctors told him he had about 6 months to live. Seems that Lauren’s wedding was one of Vito’s last goals to fulfill, as he lived well beyond the diagnosis to see his lovely stepdaughter be married on May 9. We send Lauren, Betsy, and family our deepest sympathies and you will all be in our prayers
Gretchen & Beau… where to begin?? Gretchen is one of those brides that has been on top of it since DAY 1. She booked us waaaaay back, and we did their engagement session shortly thereafter. It was a super fun session, from which one of the images became our “poster child” in our ads for awhile (the couple kissing under the yellow shutters… yep, that was them!). Over the coming months we kept in touch via email and phone, so by the time their wedding finally arrived I already felt them to be true friends. I wish they lived here… I just know we would all hang out! Gretchen had her destination wedding fabulously planned. Her friends and relatives commented on how blessed they were by her arranging activities for them during their stay as well as a welcoming gift with snacks, maps of the area, and other thoughtful items. The day of the wedding went of without a hitch (other than one of her guests that kept asking if I wanted to see his nuts…which luckily happened to be a pair of buckeyes he had in his pocket!), and was one of the most well coordinated weddings we’ve shot. Hooray to her wedding coordinator, Nicole! I will list all the vendors she used below, and here are some more of our faves from Gretchen & Beau’s wedding! Here is the link to pt 1.

Lindsey & Robert were wed in the ever so beautiful Christ Our Redeemer Catholic church. The reception followed at an amazingly gorgeous private estate in Kelly Plantation in Destin. It was a beautiful evening with delicious dinner on the lawn catered by Ruth Chris followed by dancing to an amazing 50’s style band, New Orleans based Johnny Angel & the Swinging Demons. This stunning event was coordinated by the fabulous Janet Marie of Florida Dream Weddings . The cake was provided by the lovely Heidi of Bake My Day, and the *AMAZING* flowers & floral arrangements were done by Florals By The Sea.
jennifer is a real estate agent in the area who did not want the “cheesy”/typical/boring real estate headshot. i tried giving that to her and i think i did alright. for someone coming into the shoot saying she was not good in front of the camera, jennifer did great. i had a blast at the shoot. jennifer’s sister came along, which i think helped jennifer relax a little bit.
