Featured Friday is here! It’s been quite a while since we’ve celebrated some of our published weddings and we are excited to show you! It always brightens up our day when that “You’ve Been Featured” email drops into our inbox, because that means we’ve gotten to photograph yet another bride with a truly unique sense of style. And when we have one picked up by multiple outlets, including a print publication, we are just beside ourselves.
We hope you enjoy viewing these recent features as much as we’ve loved shooting them!
We met this fun couple last spring when we shot their engagement portraits (you can see those here), so we already knew their wedding would be fantastic. We were absolutely thrilled, though, when it turned out to be even more fabulous than we ever anticipated. But we weren’t the only ones to fall in love with this classic Seaside wedding. Not one, but two industry publications chose to feature this beautiful day: wedding blog Borrowed and Blue, and this fall’s print edition of The Knot magazine.
When you see the photos from Angie & Mike’s sweet rustic Seaside wedding, you’ll understand why it was so irresistible.
One of our best-loved wedding video highlight films now has a full-length version! We were absolutely dying to share it with you but had to wait until Mary Grace & Chad saw it first, so we contained ourselves until we got their thumbs-up. You know that feeling you got as a kid on Christmas Eve? That’s seriously how we feel waiting to hear from our clients when we send off a wedding video for approval. Their response was like coming downstairs to find a new Xbox under the tree.
“I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to relive these memories tonight.I absolutely love that our friends and family are the narrators throughout the film. Thank you so much for this gift – the ability to revisit such a beautiful night for years to come!” ~ Mary Grace & Chad Pinkard
There was so much we adored about this wedding video, not the least of which was the breathtaking Rosemary Beach Town Hall. At night. With votives and twinkle lights. The atmosphere was magical and the work of some of the top vendors on the Emerald Coast gave us fantastic sets on which to film scenes of this incredibly special day. The real content, though, came from the people.
When the bride is from New York, the groom is from France, and the festivities are hosted at one of 30A‘s top resorts, macarons from Sucré are an obvious choice to have at this destination WaterColor wedding.
And those delicious treats were just the start of an absolutely gorgeous day with a tasteful, international flair.
One of our favorite 30A weddings this year turned out to be the perfect example of what happens when all the elements come together for the ideal wedding highlights video.
We were lucky enough to both photograph and film Randi & Ben‘s engagement session in NYC and their wedding day in Rosemary Beach. We really have had just the best time with this couple since we met last summer. When Alan showed the rest of the Pure7 team their completed wedding highlights video, we could not wait to send it to the bride & groom, because we knew they’d be thrilled. And we were right.
“I have dying all day not to watch this until Ben and I were together today post work,” Randi wrote. “We just got our first (and second and third) peek and it is just perfect. Well done, Alan!! Thank you all for capturing it so perfectly. We absolutely love it!”
The understated elegance of Rosemary Beach was the ideal backdrop for Ali and Brian’s classic color scheme of black and white with gold accents. The event planner was absolutely thrilled with her destination wedding to her CPA groom, and they both thoroughly enjoyed their weekend in one of the most beautiful places along the Emerald Coast.
“So many people warned us it would go by quickly and we wouldn’t remember a thing,” Ali said. “We feel incredibly lucky because we remember every detail! The day as a whole was so fun and filled with so much laughter and love.” Even the flower girl yelling that she had to go potty in the middle of the ceremony was right in line with their self-described goofy personalities and has become a fond memory from this lively event.
When the whole crew headed out to cover Spencer and Victoria’s Seaside wedding a few weeks ago, we knew, based on their engagement session we shot last fall, that this day would be bright and colorful. It did not disappoint! From the fabulous Valentino’s Victoria scooped up from eBay at $500 below retail (true story!) to the pink flamingos that became an unplanned theme, the details of the day perfectly showcased this couple’s funky personality.
Our tag team of Ryan & Lindsey were everywhere with film and digital cameras, while Alan was the usual fly-on-the-wall for the day, shooting video in his trademark style. The highlight reel is at the end of this post; if you want to see the groom cry, skip to the 01:06 minute mark.
The groom is beaming with pride, the bride hasn’t yet tired of using grand gestures to point at everything with her left hand, and the couple is still basking in the afterglow of the proposal evening. This season of life is fresh and exciting and, we’ve found, can make for one of the most fun photoshoots a couple can do together.
Whether you want to capture your life at the beach or in the Big Apple, we’re ready whenever and wherever you are. Before you disappear into Pinterest + planning, let’s talk about why engagement pictures can be one of the best ways to prepare for a super important part of your wedding day.
