Tara & Chris | WaterColor Wedding

Tara and Chris were married just last month at the Watercolor Inn & Resort, which is only one of  THE coolest and most beautiful beach resorts ever.  Their ceremony was held at the picturesque Western Lake Park, with a reception following in Watercolor’s newest wedding venue, the Lake House.  If you haven’t seen this incredible venue yet, then you’re in for a treat!  Completely breathtaking.

We absolutely loved being Tara and Chris’s Watercolor wedding photographers.  Not only are these two madly in love and adorable, but Chris’s sweet daughter (and flower girl!), Claire, was an absolute doll!  Beautiful wedding, beautiful setting and a beautiful day made this a great way to kick off 2014!

Sloan + David | Rosemary Beach Weddings

We couldn’t think of a better time to feature Sloan and David’s Rosemary Beach wedding.  With the promise of spring just around the corner, this full-of-life, colorful beach wedding gets us pretty darn excited for warmer temps and our upcoming spring wedding season.

Sloan and David were SUCH a fun, hip couple — totally our style!  😉  Not only was Sloan a super-cool and laid back bride, but their ridiculously adorable little girl, Georgie, completely stole our hearts the entire day.  She was full of energy and totally stole the show!  Pair all of that with gorgeous decor, amazing food, cakes that were completely fun and reflective of their personalities, and a night full of non-stop boogying on the dance floor — and you have yourself one heck of a party.

We loved being a part of Sloan and David’s day and are so blessed to photograph so many Rosemary Beach weddings- especially this one!  A huge thanks to our incredible team of wedding professionals who made it all happen!

Wes + Kelly | Watercolor, Florida Wedding

Sometimes the simplest things in life are the best things.  Take, for example, the very sweet, very intimate, and very simple beach wedding ceremony of Wes and Kelly.  Held on the gorgeous beach of the Watercolor Inn and Resort, their Florida wedding ceremony was truly a beautiful celebration of love.

Wes and Kelly opted for Ryan to capture just their wedding ceremony, where they were surrounded by those closest to them — their parents and their children.  We were honored that this awesome couple chose us to photograph their beautiful wedding day!

Nicole + Craig | 30A Wedding

You know that old saying that states “good things come in small packages”?  Well, we firmly believe that great-amazing-sweet-super-lovely things come in small packages.  Like intimate weddings where the focus is truly on the couple committing their love to one another.  We love being a part of these smaller, yet super-close-to-the-heart-incredible displays of commitment, and Nicole and Craig’s 30A wedding takes the cake for radiating love all over the place!  🙂

When Nicole first contacted us, she stole our hearts right away with her answers on what we consider to be a pretty simple contact form on our website.  From learning of her father’s passing just 3 years prior of a brain tumor, and her subsequent passion to support research and raise awareness for the cause, to her number one passion being her family and friends — we were instantly smitten.  Oh, and points were definitely won with her very accurate description of what attracted her to us in the first place:

“I am in love with the way you so artistically and beautifully capture the most intimate moments between couples. I love that you all seem so genuine, down-to-earth and spirited. Without even having met you guys, I like you already. :)”

The feeling was definitely mutual when we finally met Nicole and Craig for the first time.  We liked them a lot.  Which is why we were so darn heartbroken when we all learned of the impending Hurricane Isaac, who thought he’d put a big ol’ damper on the festivities.  Luckily, Nicole and Craig were so easygoing that we were able to split their coverage into two days, and capture their sweet beach wedding ceremony — sans hurricane.

Nicole and Craig’s intimate weekday wedding took place in a very private ceremony on Seacrest Beach, which is located between Rosemary and Alys Beaches on 30A.  Opting for our ‘petite collection’ was a perfect option for them, as it captures the sweetest moments of a smaller event — like vow renewals and initiate wedding ceremonies — while still affording the couple the opportunity to walk away with professional, artistic (and, ahem, beautiful) wedding photos.

Many thanks to our friend, Jamie Gummere of Blush Beauty Lounge, for the gorgeous job on Nicole’s makeup!

Lauren + Brett’s Gulf Place Wedding | 30A Wedding Videographers

When we announced the launch of Pure7 Films, we were totally stoked to show off one of Alan’s first wedding films — Lauren and Brett’s Gulf Place wedding highlights reel.  The highlights reel is really a great “teaser” that gives us a peek into the wedding while the full video is being produced.  Well, Alan has really outdone himself again, so we’re excited to share their full-length feature with you all!  Be sure to stay tuned — in addition to having Alan as their wedding videographer, we also photographed this gorgeous event so can’t wait to share their images in an upcoming blog feature!  For now, sit back, grab a box of tissues, and ENJOY!

Natalie | Rosemary Beach Bridal Portraits

Natalie is one of the most beautiful people we’ve had the pleasure of getting to know — both inside and out.  That beauty completely radiates from these gorgeous images Ryan captured in her Rosemary Beach bridal portraits, prior to their Seaside wedding this past September (which is being considered by a few popular wedding magazines as we speak!).  And have you ever seen anything quite like that dress?  Absolutely stunning, and we loved learning of the story of how this dress became THE dress.

Living in Birmingham at the time, Natalie was excited to visit with some of the local dress shops.  Being the self-proclaimed “fashion-obsessed” girl that she is, dress shopping ranked pretty high on her list of priorities.  But after nearly drowning in tulle and lace and satin and silk, Natalie left those shops not quite feeling like any of them fit the bill.  So, along with her mom, sister and two nephews, Natalie made the trek to Atlanta’s Bridals by Lori (yep, the shop on TLC’s ‘Say Yes to the Dress‘!) determined to fall in love —  and walk away with — her perfect dress.  And that she did!  This stunner, designed by Lazaro, not only took her breath away, but it immediately evoked some happy mama-of-the-bride tears . . . this was the one!  This dress was also the very first dress Natalie saved in her Pinterest-perusing-wedding-dress-quest!   And we couldn’t agree more that it is absolutely perfect.

Curious to see the other half of this gorgeous girl’s heart?  Head on over to check out their recent engagement session feature where you can get a peek of Natalie and her (now) husband, Parker being all beautiful together (and they totally are).

Introducing . . . Pure7 Films: Videography the Pure7 Way!

Friends, dear readers, loyal followers of Pure7 Studios, and everyone in-between: Our studio is thrilled and busting at the seams with excitement with today’s HUGE and AWESOME announcement!  What we’re about to share with you has been such a labor of love and true blessing in and of itself.  The months spent planning, nourishing, and prepping for its arrival makes today’s news all the more exciting to share.  So, without further ado, we are proud to announce that . . .  kids with Film and Videography degrees can still get jobs!

Everyone, meet Alan LeBlanc, the filmmaker behind our newly birthed brother company – Pure7 Films!  To give you a little – ok, a lot – of background on how this came to be, we must start with the very beginning . . .

We met Alan in December of last year at Townsend Catering‘s annual Christmas party while he was home on break from his final year at Florida Atlantic University (FAU).  As a mutual friend of a prior Pure7 intern, Alan had looked forward to meeting Ryan.  Alan was nearing the completion of his degree in Film & New Media, and chatted with Ryan about the local industry and applying his degree toward a career in film.  Ryan asked Alan to send him samples of his college film projects.  And so he did.  You can imagine our surprise when we discovered the level of talent appearing right before our eyes as we viewed his portfolio: “This kid is going to do big things!”, we said.  At a mere 21-years old, Alan’s artistic and cinematic style as a filmmaker blew us away!

For several years, Ryan had been seeking a videographer of similar style to capture a behind-the-scenes documentary about Pure7 Studios; Alan completely fit the bill and agreed to take on the project.  He began filming this past March, and over the next few months, Alan continued to film Ryan and Lindsey on several different client sessions, as well as in-studio purchasing and sales sessions.  He also put his talents to work filming some personal family time with Ryan & Erica and the kids.  Alan’s skill and quality of work was impressive, and we were equally as stunned with his professionalism, humility, and how easy he was to work with.  Alan continued to remain in touch, and after graduating with his film degree, continued to pop into the studio from time to time.

Anyone in “the industry” knows that weddings are an entirely different animal in terms of truly capturing the emotion and details in photos and on film.  Alan’s prior focus was on independent and commercial film work; weddings weren’t really on the radar at that point.  Insert one of Pure7’s lovely videographer-less brides. She was eager and willing to let Alan test out the “wedding cinematography waters”, putting his impressive skills and film degree to work.  Let’s just suffice it to say that we think he was bitten by the wedding bug that day, as his ‘Ceremony & Reception Highlights’ reel was nothing short of stunning!  Our bride & groom (and everyone who managed to get their hands on it!) beyond loved it.  Alan was elated, but knew his passion lied in filmmaking and video production, and not necessarily in the not-always-glamourous side that goes into managing and running a successful business.  It was at that point that we offered Alan a position as an employee of Pure7, and just like that, the birth of a beautiful new work relationship and personal friendship was formed.  As Alan filmed more weddings over the summer we quickly realized that as much as we LOVE working with him and would love to hog him all to ourselves, it’d be most beneficial to both him and his clients to also offer his services outside of weddings in which we are the photographers.  It was for this reason that Pure7 Films, a subsidiary of Pure7 Studios, came to be.  We are pleased to now offer Alan’s services to weddings involving other photography studios and wedding industry professionals!  Because Pure7 Films is its own entity, a separate website has been launched to provide information on Alan’s wedding and commercial videography services.  Alan has thoroughly enjoyed working alongside other photographers, and we’re so grateful to continue to receive their referrals – truly the highest compliment!  We’ve intentionally chosen not to offer photography services to Pure7 Films clients who are already booked with or interviewing other photographers.  We’re cool like that.  🙂

In addition to offering wedding videos, we’re excited to introduce our newest creation: The ‘Coalesce Session’ for engaged couples and families.  It’s a hybrid which fuses the two mediums of photography and video into one awesome experience.  In addition, Alan continues to film his innovative commercial films for local businesses – an invaluable marketing tool when used for a company’s website and social media outlets.

And that’s the story of how Pure7 Films came into existence.  We invite you to sit back, prop your feet up, and view the awesomeness that Mr. LeBlanc has been cranking out since joining the Pure7 team!  The first video highlights Lauren & Brett’s recent Gulf Place wedding; the second is our debut Coalesce Session with our sweet friends, the Lipke family.  Because we know you’ll be eager to see more, head on over to pure7films.com to see what else Alan’s been up to since he popped into our universe.

Oh!  One (or four) more thing(s): To contact us, please visit our website or email: info@pure7films.com.  And don’t forget to follow Alan on TwitterInstagram and Facebook!
