Destination Wedding in Carillon Beach, FL for Ann and Pack

Ann Layton and Pack’s relationship started as high school sweethearts in just 9th grade when they had their first date at Pack’s basketball game before going to the movies together. Though they dated through their junior year, they didn’t speak for seven years after calling it quits until reuniting years later and had a much more romantic second “first date” complete with dinner and a sunset boat ride.

Romantic Engagement Celebrated With Family & Friends

Pack planned an amazingly romantic proposal that set the mood for their wedding! For their one year anniversary, they traveled to Nashville where they started with a walk on Ann Layton’s favorite bridge. Little did Ann Layton know, Pack had coordinated a photographer to capture the moment Pack proposed. Ann described the moment he got down on one knee and proposed as “a dream!” Afterwards, they walked to a nearby bar where both of their families and their closest friends were waiting to celebrate.

Why Carillon Beach was the Perfect Wedding Destination

When asked why they chose a Carillon Beach wedding, Ann Layton explained why that location was the perfect romantic spot to celebrate their love,

“We chose Carillon because we both love the beach. For us, the beach represents so much of God’s beauty and has always been our relaxation place… We had heard about carillon through Pack’s older sister who got married there a few years before us! It was absolutely stunning!”

Coastal Indoor Ceremony at Meeting House

Ann Layton and Pack tied the knot at the Meeting House in Carillon Beach, Florida once again surrounded by their family and friends. Tastefully designed with coastal colors, their wedding atmosphere seemed just as romantic as the proposal. The Meeting House provided the perfect indoor setting while still allowing for outdoor seating and plenty of light that focused on the ceremony and the couple being celebrated.

“The most memorable moment for me was walking down the aisle and looking at Pack, not as my boyfriend or fiancé, but as my soulmate and husband. It was a moment I will always cherish!”

Romantic Lighting for an Outdoor Reception

The outdoor reception area showed bright and cheery with gorgeous details including lighting that made for amazing reception photos as the sun went down! The celebration flowed with their romantic proposal and ceremony with personal touches like the special dance for Ann Layton and her grandfather.

“One big part of our wedding that we added in was my solo dance with my grandfather, Bubba. We danced to his hit song “That’s What I’ll Do” and it meant the world to me! He has always been a huge inspiration in my life and has always shown me the importance of what a Godly man truly looks like inside and out.”

I loved capturing the love between Ann Layton and Pack especially since they were surrounded with love and excitement from their friends and family. Their focus on each other and the celebration of a milestone in their relationship made for beautiful photos and a special day!

Chelsea + Richard | Carillon Weddings ® Photographer

We’re thrilled to feature Chelsea and Richard’s Carillon Weddings ® Meeting House nuptials on the blog today!  Of course we adore every single one of the weddings we’ve been blessed to photograph, but this one . . . it’s just breathtaking.  And what we love most about it are the sentimental, handmade, and truly one-of-a-kind personal details the couple incorporated.  By far the most impressive of those details are the 1,001 origami cranes the bride hand-folded over the course of nine months (really!).  A Japanese legend says that the the bride who folds 1,000 cranes before her wedding day will be rewarded with a long and happy marriage, symbolizing the trust, patience and dedication of sustaining such a task.  We think this legend holds some amazing truths for this sweet couple!

As a Carillon Weddings® photographer and working with such a naturally beautiful backdrop, it’s always exciting to see it transformed into something so amazing — and then see that transformation and your beautiful couple published!  So of course, when we learned that Chelsea & Richard’s wedding would be featured on the awesome Glamour & Grace blog, we could hardly contain our excitement!

Huge thanks to our fabulous team of wedding professionals who made this gorgeously sweet wedding happen!

Brenda & Harry’s Grande Pointe Wedding

Brenda and Harry’s wedding – held at the beautiful Grande Pointe Pavilion in Inlet Beach – was super-special, and we couldn’t have been more honored to capture their day!  You see, Brenda’s mom is Rhonda, the mastermind behind Confections on the Coast – and one of our very beloved and UBER-talented pastry chefs (take a peek at some of our past wedding blogs and you’ll be drooling over her amazing works of cake art in no time). What made this wedding so special was that Rhonda poured her heart and soul into every. last. detail. and gave her daughter and new hubby the wedding of their dreams.  That insanely gorgeous dress you see?  Yeah, Rhonda MADE that.  Made it. Like, with needles and thread and lace and a boatload of patience.  And with the guidance and expertise of some of our other very talented wedding friends, she also created the floral arrangements (no big deal or anything) and took off running with the rest of the wedding plans. Oh – and those cakes? Yes, she also managed to find the time to construct two very amazing works of tasty wedding art, to include a Star Wars cake for Harry, who is a die-hard fan.

Personal touches on a wedding are what make the day special for a couple, and we love being able to capture those details as wedding photographers. From the strawberry jelly favors – made especially by our groom using hand-plucked strawberries from his own back yard – to the sweet card box made by their grandmother, this family-centered event was such a blast for us to be a part of. Fabulous job to all the wedding pros who had a hand in making this day so amazing! And our hats are officially off to Rhonda for all the hard work she put into her sweet daughter’s perfect day! Congrats, Brenda & Harry! We loved getting to know you and wish you a million-trillion years of love and happiness!

The details of this GORGEOUS dress are beyond amazing!

Everyone say hi to Rhonda!

So it may have been a tad bit warm…
