We are still in the thick of wedding season shooting wedding photography and wedding videos for the best couples around. This means we’re out on location shooting in Destin and out on 30A all the time right now.  We feel extra lucky  during this weeding season we have two features in The Wedding Issue put out VIE Magazine.

Below is The Wedding Issue cover along with our photos that made this issue. Be sure to grab a copy for yourself so you can see our photos and everything else this awesome issue has to offer. You’ll probably recognize the photography from the first feature because these photos have made the rounds in the media. The second feature is showcasing the beautiful big day of Jennifer and James.  If you want to learn more about Jennifer and James then you’ll have to  read the article! In it you’ll get to read about their love story, the big day, and see all of the awesome vendors Jennifer and James chose in order to make sure everything was perfect.

If you’re still looking for a great local or destination wedding photographer for your upcoming celebration we can’t wait to meet you. Please contact us so we can discuss our packages and availability to make you big day last forever.

We also work with couples wanting engagement session or maternity sessions in addition to our popular family beach portraits for those locally or traveling to enjoy the beautiful beaches the Emerald Coast has to offer.

Bride and Groom |Another 30a Featured Friday

It’s been a few weeks since we’ve celebrated some of our published weddings which truly feature the Bride and Groom. Let these couples and their pictures inspire you as every wedding photo collection is a unique visual expression representing the love between the newlyweds.

The first wedding we’re sharing is Jamie and Matt‘s which was featured on 30a Weddings.  The groom accented their neutral look with a green tie which coordinated perfectly with her bouquet. They chose earth tones for their colors and it matched them perfectly. Everything about them and their celebration emphasized how much natural beauty there is in the world if we just pay attention to the people, places, and things.

Our next feature can be found on Every Last Detail showing off Lindsie and Shane‘s white wedding which took place in coveted Alys Beach.

“Well besides the fact of walking down the aisle and seeing my future husband steps in front of me, my next favorite thing about my wedding has to be the setting and how quaint it was.” – The Bride

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves, Lindsie! Be sure to look at the full feature to read all of her thoughts on their special day.

We didn’t think it could get any better, but then we had Katie and Michael featured on Borrowed and Blue. Without wanting to spoil their amazing wedding with our words, I’ll just say the phrase “it’s all in the details” has probably never been more true. Everywhere you look within these beautiful weddings, there’s inspiration for every bride and groom.

Erin + Will | Panama City Beach Wedding Photographers

Erin and Will’s Panama City Beach wedding was a great example of how to do a beach wedding in style.  Nautical touches in the decor and navy on the girls were just what they envisioned for their beach wedding.  They exchanged vows in the sand underneath a gorgeous bamboo arbor, and followed with a rockin’ reception at the nearby Boatyard restaurant where guests (including one very sweet grandmother!) boogied down all night!

HUGE thanks to the very sweet and talented coordinator, Kimberly, of Elegant Beginnings for sending this sweet couple our way!  And to everyone else on their team who made this fun couple’s wedding a reality — you all rock!

Chelsea + Richard | Carillon Weddings ® Photographer

We’re thrilled to feature Chelsea and Richard’s Carillon Weddings ® Meeting House nuptials on the blog today!  Of course we adore every single one of the weddings we’ve been blessed to photograph, but this one . . . it’s just breathtaking.  And what we love most about it are the sentimental, handmade, and truly one-of-a-kind personal details the couple incorporated.  By far the most impressive of those details are the 1,001 origami cranes the bride hand-folded over the course of nine months (really!).  A Japanese legend says that the the bride who folds 1,000 cranes before her wedding day will be rewarded with a long and happy marriage, symbolizing the trust, patience and dedication of sustaining such a task.  We think this legend holds some amazing truths for this sweet couple!

As a Carillon Weddings® photographer and working with such a naturally beautiful backdrop, it’s always exciting to see it transformed into something so amazing — and then see that transformation and your beautiful couple published!  So of course, when we learned that Chelsea & Richard’s wedding would be featured on the awesome Glamour & Grace blog, we could hardly contain our excitement!

Huge thanks to our fabulous team of wedding professionals who made this gorgeously sweet wedding happen!

Brenda & Harry’s Grande Pointe Wedding

Brenda and Harry’s wedding – held at the beautiful Grande Pointe Pavilion in Inlet Beach – was super-special, and we couldn’t have been more honored to capture their day!  You see, Brenda’s mom is Rhonda, the mastermind behind Confections on the Coast – and one of our very beloved and UBER-talented pastry chefs (take a peek at some of our past wedding blogs and you’ll be drooling over her amazing works of cake art in no time).   What made this wedding so special was that Rhonda poured her heart and soul into every. last. detail. and gave her daughter and new hubby the wedding of their dreams.  That insanely gorgeous dress you see?  Yeah, Rhonda MADE that.  Made it.  Like, with needles and thread and lace and a boatload of patience.  And with the guidance and expertise of some of our other very talented wedding friends, she also created the floral arrangements (no big deal or anything) and took off running with the rest of the wedding plans.  Oh – and those cakes?  Yes, she also managed to find the time to construct two very amazing works of tasty wedding art, to include a Star Wars cake for Harry, who is a die-hard fan.

Personal touches on a wedding are what make the day special for a couple, and we love being able to capture those details as wedding photographers.  From the strawberry jelly favors – made especially by our groom using hand-plucked strawberries from his own back yard – to the sweet card box made by their grandmother, this family-centered event was such a blast for us to be a part of.  Fabulous job to all the wedding pros who had a hand in making this day so amazing!  And our hats are officially off to Rhonda for all the hard work she put into her sweet daughter’s perfect day!  Congrats, Brenda & Harry!  We loved getting to know you and wish you a million-trillion years of love and happiness!

Lauren & Trey’s Seaside Beach Wedding

When Jennifer {“Jen2”} from It’s a Shore Thing popped in one afternoon with Lauren to chat about the possibility of us photographing her upcoming Seaside Chapel wedding, we spent the next couple hours giddy with excitement after getting to know this sweet girl from Arkansas.  Not only do we love Seaside weddings, we also love a bride who we immediately click with.  They had spent the day talking flowers and food and cake and all-things wedding, so by the time they got to us, we were like, “Helloooo, let’s have this amazing wedding tomorrow!”  Jen the wedding planner basically thought we had lost our marbles {which sometimes happens when we get giddy with excitement; especially that Erica – she even starts climbing walls and running laps around the studio sometimes}, so we decided we put on our patient pants and wait until April rolled around for Lauren & Trey’s pretty wedding. And boy, oh boy, was it ever pretty!

We arrived to find our gorgeous bride getting dolled up by the oh-so-talented Johnathan Doria and Deana Kale, and even stumbled across all of Lauren’s wicked-fun details.  A cute weekend welcome packet, a gorgeous old Bible wrapped in ribbon for the sweet ring bearer to tote down the aisle, and a pair of sparkly pumps that made our little cameras do a slight backflip.  UH-dorable.  Oh, and did we mention the dress?   Sigh.  Being a wedding photographer is really hard sometimes.

We moseyed on over to the pretty white chapel for their sweet nuptials, then on to the drool-worthy {also known as reallydarnpretty} Lyceum Lawn reception, where we were ecstatic to find lawn games (hi, have you heard of life-sized Jenga?  Yeah, us either and it was pretty great), more sparkles, a chevron cake, and a whole night’s worth of boogie-down tunes.  Oh!  There was also a very fabulous church pew awaiting our arrival for those amazing beach sunset photos . . . all Lauren’s idea!  (We failed to mention that being a 30A wedding photographer is also really hard sometimes.)

Wanna see a Seaside beach wedding photographer in-action?  Well then lookie here:

Ever so grateful for the AMAZING team of wedding professionals that worked so hard to bring this gorgeous day together for two special people!

a family reunion…..

for the first time, we had the opportunity to photograph a family reunion get together in Seagrove Beach Florida.  luckily the rain had left us with a beautiful winter day for some frolicking on the beach before they gathered for dinner.  this was a beautiful family full of adorable, lively children (and adults, too).  they were such a joy!  hopefully we can be a part of their annual get together!

ryan’s wedding faves from 2011……

so this post is about three weeks too late, but hey we don’t like to be like everyone else. here is a collection of photos we shot in 2011 that i think shows what we are all about. we had such a blast this past year and are looking for an even greater one this year. thank you to all our brides for choosing pure7. we truly love each and everyone of you.
