Beautiful Wedding in Stunning Seaside, FL | Hannah and Sam

Sometimes a chance meeting is all it takes to change your life. At least, that’s how it worked out for Hannah and Sam. Seven years ago, the two met at a party hosted by a mutual friend. Both had decided to go on a whim, so it was lucky (or destiny, perhaps?) that their paths crossed. They hit it off immediately, and after a successful first date and a fancy dinner, their forever story began.

Fast forward through a whirlwind of dates, laughter, shared smiles, travels, and dog snuggles, and the time came for Sam to pop the question. Romantic doesn’t even begin to describe their engagement. Picture this: a ski trip in Utah, horse-drawn sleigh, crisp mountain air, immaculate white snow, winter wonderland proposal…it was nothing short of magical.

After loading up their blankets on the sleigh, they moved slowly up the snowy side of the mountain. Half way up, the coachmen stopped to feed the horse and mentioned it was a beautiful spot for a photo. Thinking it all very suspicious, Hannah removed the ring she always wore on her ring finger and stashed it in her pocket. You know, just in case.

Though she had her suspicions, when Sam dropped to one knee, Hannah was still so surprised and incredibly excited. Ring on her finger, they hopped back into the sleigh and made their way back. The sleigh ride was over, but their journey together was just beginning.

Of course, now it was time for Hannah and Sam to choose the perfect location for their special day.

Since she was a little girl, Hannah enjoyed vacations on 30A with her family, and she started brining Sam and his family over the last seven years. So, naturally, it was the perfect choice.

With the quaint beauty of Seaside and the unmatched, white sandy beaches, they couldn’t imagine celebrating their day anywhere else. They wanted to make sure everyone felt relaxed and could truly enjoy all the festivities. Of the location, Hannah said, “It made the whole weekend a great experience, and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.”

From the intimate smiles shared to the emotional sharing of vows to the spectacular bar with a wide variety of drinks, it was truly a day to remember.

So what’s next for this beautiful couple? They have moved back to the US – oh, did we mention these world travelers were living in the UK? Yeah, they’re pretty cool! They are also currently preparing for the arrival of their first child in the fall. We couldn’t be more thrilled for these two lovebirds and wish them all the best on their future adventures!

A Timeless Seaside Wedding | Angie & Mike

We met this fun couple last spring when we shot their engagement portraits (you can see those here), so we already knew their wedding would be fantastic. We were absolutely thrilled, though, when it turned out to be even more fabulous than we ever anticipated. But we weren’t the only ones to fall in love with this classic Seaside wedding. Not one, but two industry publications chose to feature this beautiful day: wedding blog Borrowed and Blue, and this fall’s print edition of The Knot magazine.

A Seaside Wedding Celebration | Courtney & Aaron

We love that Courtney chose to start her Seaside wedding day by having her bridesmaids join her for morning yoga, because they definitely needed all their energy for this lively weekend! As you’ll see in the video at the end of this post, Courtney & Aaron’s Seaside wedding was a jubilant affair, filled with family, friends, and lots of laughter!

Rich Jewish traditions were woven throughout the entire day. As guests sipped champagne on the lawn at Ruskin Place, family gathered at Ruskin House for the signing of the Ketubah and their own special toast to the happy couple. Following the ceremony, enthusiastic guests were escorted by a live horn section through the cozy streets of Seaside to the next portion of the evening, held on Lyceum Lawn. There they were welcomed into a lavish tent drenched in breathtaking florals and chandeliers, and seated at gorgeous tables prepared for a wonderful celebration. As wine service began, the blessing over the wedding challah kicked off a reception that had guests dancing well into the night.READ MORE

Seaside Wedding Highlights Video | Jennifer & Steven

The weather on March 19th was absolutely perfect. As we packed up our gear that morning and headed out to shoot their wedding video, we were convinced that Jennifer & Steven had ordered it specifically for their special day.

Seaside weddings are just beautiful, so a wedding at the Seaside Chapel followed by a reception on Kelly Green in neighboring Alys Beach is a fantastic combination. Every intricate detail was attended to by the talented planners at It’s A Shore Thing, so we knew this would be a stunning wedding. We were not disappointed and, as captured in the highlights footage below, neither were the guests.

Our fly-on-the-wall and eye-in-the-sky coverage will make you feel like you were there. You’ll see that everyone had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the entire day, start to finish. The real question, though, was what would Jennifer & Steven think. We didn’t have to wait long to find out, and were thrilled with their response.

“We just watched the wedding highlights film and we are so in love with it!” Jennifer wrote. “Alan did such an amazing job!!”

Stay tuned for the full-length video coming soon (yay!), and feel free to forward this to any friends who are planning their wedding. We’d love to chat with them about creating their custom wedding video.

Oh, and if you want to catch the look on Steven’s face when he turns to see Jennifer for the First Look, skip ahead to the 01:10 mark. It will just…well, see for yourself. Then go ahead – watch it a few more times. We did (true story).

jennifer+jimmy | rosemary beach, fl wedding photographers

Jennifer & Jimmy’s Rosemary Beach, FL wedding was a sheer pleasure for our entire team (Ryan, Lindsey, & Alan) to photograph and film. From our initial contact with them in March of last year, to their engagement session in Draper Lake in April, we just loved interacting with, photographing and filming them. Their planner, Jennifer Fisher of It’s A Shore Thing Wedding & Event Planning, did such a wonderful job of dotting every ‘i’ and crossing every ‘t’ and provided a seamless execution of yet another beautiful Rosemary Beach wedding. The team of vendors Jennifer helped them select (please contact It’s A Shore Thing for information on their vendor team) was excellent, and we had a blast collaborating with each and every one of them. They even had a Caricature Artist providing caricatures of the bridal party and guests – so cool!

This wedding came on the heels of Ryan’s indescribable week-long experience at Johnathan Canlas‘s Film Is Not Dead Workshop.  He was truly re-inspired for his love of all things film (and Johnathan’s mentality when it comes to shooting this way), so all of the images we’ve chosen to feature below were from Ryan’s Contax 645 film camera (using Fujicolor Pro 400H).  This is only one of the several film cameras Ryan’s enjoyed photographing our weddings on the past several years, and the film for this particular destination wedding was processed by the amazing FIND Lab in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Alan had the pleasure of providing the wedding videos for Jennifer & Jimmy, and you’ll find their ‘Cinematic Wedding Highlights Film’ (something included in all of of our wedding videography collections) at the bottom of this post.

Without further adieu, we hope you enjoy this sneak peek of their big day!  ~Erica

Brenda & Harry’s Grande Pointe Wedding

Brenda and Harry’s wedding – held at the beautiful Grande Pointe Pavilion in Inlet Beach – was super-special, and we couldn’t have been more honored to capture their day!  You see, Brenda’s mom is Rhonda, the mastermind behind Confections on the Coast – and one of our very beloved and UBER-talented pastry chefs (take a peek at some of our past wedding blogs and you’ll be drooling over her amazing works of cake art in no time). What made this wedding so special was that Rhonda poured her heart and soul into every. last. detail. and gave her daughter and new hubby the wedding of their dreams.  That insanely gorgeous dress you see?  Yeah, Rhonda MADE that.  Made it. Like, with needles and thread and lace and a boatload of patience.  And with the guidance and expertise of some of our other very talented wedding friends, she also created the floral arrangements (no big deal or anything) and took off running with the rest of the wedding plans. Oh – and those cakes? Yes, she also managed to find the time to construct two very amazing works of tasty wedding art, to include a Star Wars cake for Harry, who is a die-hard fan.

Personal touches on a wedding are what make the day special for a couple, and we love being able to capture those details as wedding photographers. From the strawberry jelly favors – made especially by our groom using hand-plucked strawberries from his own back yard – to the sweet card box made by their grandmother, this family-centered event was such a blast for us to be a part of. Fabulous job to all the wedding pros who had a hand in making this day so amazing! And our hats are officially off to Rhonda for all the hard work she put into her sweet daughter’s perfect day! Congrats, Brenda & Harry! We loved getting to know you and wish you a million-trillion years of love and happiness!

The details of this GORGEOUS dress are beyond amazing!

Everyone say hi to Rhonda!

So it may have been a tad bit warm…

Lauren & Trey’s Seaside Beach Wedding

When Jennifer {“Jen2”} from It’s a Shore Thing popped in one afternoon with Lauren to chat about the possibility of us photographing her upcoming Seaside Chapel wedding, we spent the next couple hours giddy with excitement after getting to know this sweet girl from Arkansas.  Not only do we love Seaside weddings, we also love a bride who we immediately click with.  They had spent the day talking flowers and food and cake and all-things wedding, so by the time they got to us, we were like, “Helloooo, let’s have this amazing wedding tomorrow!”  Jen the wedding planner basically thought we had lost our marbles {which sometimes happens when we get giddy with excitement; especially that Erica – she even starts climbing walls and running laps around the studio sometimes}, so we decided we put on our patient pants and wait until April rolled around for Lauren & Trey’s pretty wedding. And boy, oh boy, was it ever pretty!

We arrived to find our gorgeous bride getting dolled up by the oh-so-talented Johnathan Doria and Deana Kale, and even stumbled across all of Lauren’s wicked-fun details.  A cute weekend welcome packet, a gorgeous old Bible wrapped in ribbon for the sweet ring bearer to tote down the aisle, and a pair of sparkly pumps that made our little cameras do a slight backflip.  UH-dorable.  Oh, and did we mention the dress?   Sigh.  Being a wedding photographer is really hard sometimes.

We moseyed on over to the pretty white chapel for their sweet nuptials, then on to the drool-worthy {also known as reallydarnpretty} Lyceum Lawn reception, where we were ecstatic to find lawn games (hi, have you heard of life-sized Jenga?  Yeah, us either and it was pretty great), more sparkles, a chevron cake, and a whole night’s worth of boogie-down tunes.  Oh!  There was also a very fabulous church pew awaiting our arrival for those amazing beach sunset photos . . . all Lauren’s idea!  (We failed to mention that being a 30A wedding photographer is also really hard sometimes.)

Wanna see a Seaside beach wedding photographer in-action?  Well then lookie here:

Ever so grateful for the AMAZING team of wedding professionals that worked so hard to bring this gorgeous day together for two special people!

Sarah & Nick | by Pure7, Rosemary Beach Wedding Photographers

When we first met Sarah & Nick, we were like, “OH!  Yes! They are SO us!”.  They love great music, are super-ridiculously cute together, and just generally chill, fun, all-around great people {are you chill and awesome and fun, too?  because we would love to meet you if so!}.  And then when we discovered the amazing team of wedding pros they were working with, our excitement levels were almost too much to bear!  The photos we captured of these two gorgeous lovebirds is proof of just how amazing their day really was!

It’s couples like this that make us love being wedding photographers and being able to be Rosemary Beach wedding photographers makes it even more special.

Sarah opted to dress her sweet girls {and no, really, they were all so super-sweet and fun we almost had to pinch ourselves a few times} in rented bridesmaids dresses {whaaaa?  you can do that now?}.  Yes, you can totally rent your bridesmaids dresses!  Who knew?   And the boys, well, they were lookin’ super-fly in their vest-only-attire {hello, awesome trend alert!}.  Both clothing options were well-suited for what transpired later in the evening {there may have been some acrobatics involved on that dance floor}.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day ~ everything from the drop-dead gorgeous and Pinterest-worthy florals, to the block-rockin’ beats from the DJ, to Nick’s award-winning first sighting of his beautiful bride . . . it basically rocked our striped socks off {Ryan thinks  striped socks are hot.  Ryan is weird}.  Oh, and the perfect sunset – we arranged that, too.  It’s just what we do.

claire & matt are one of the sweetest couples we’ve had the joy of photographing. and SO in love, as you can tell by the adoring glances in their images. we’ve also loved getting to know claire’s wonderful mother, lori, over the past few months while working with her to on claire & matt’s stunning wedding album and lori’s beautiful parent album. i will let the images below speak for themselves, but it goes without saying that the It’s A Shore Thing team rocked this wedding out and it was STUNNING. every last detail was executed flawlessly, and the entire day went off without a hitch. love it when that happens! thank you to all of the wonderful vendors who came together and gave their all to give c+m the day of their dreams.

p.s. be sure to be on the lookout for the upcoming ‘best in destin’ issue of destin magazine, in which this wedding will be featured!
