Timeless Treasures | Wedding Photography for Tess + Jay

Some people just have that effortless and timeless look. You know the one we’re talking about. Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Jaqueline Kennedy, Kate Middleton. They’ve all got it. Today we’re sharing with you the timeless treasures we created as the wedding photographer for Tess and Jay. You’ll see as you look through their wedding photos, Tess is another name we need to add to the list of women with “the look.”

As if her looking the part of a timeless beauty isn’t enough; Tess married her best friend Jay at her family’s picturesque private residence in Destin, Florida. We’re convinced there isn’t a place more perfect for them to say their I do’s because we know all there really is no place like home.  The stunning property leaves nothing to be desired as guests sat along the back balcony and pool looking across the water to watch as Tess and Jay became man and wife.

They had things we never would’ve dreamed of and were once again humbled by the beauty we found ourselves surrounded in. Whether you’re planning a wedding, dreaming up your future wedding, or already married, we hope you are as inspired by their big day as we are.

Brenda & Harry’s Grande Pointe Wedding

Brenda and Harry’s wedding – held at the beautiful Grande Pointe Pavilion in Inlet Beach – was super-special, and we couldn’t have been more honored to capture their day!  You see, Brenda’s mom is Rhonda, the mastermind behind Confections on the Coast – and one of our very beloved and UBER-talented pastry chefs (take a peek at some of our past wedding blogs and you’ll be drooling over her amazing works of cake art in no time).   What made this wedding so special was that Rhonda poured her heart and soul into every. last. detail. and gave her daughter and new hubby the wedding of their dreams.  That insanely gorgeous dress you see?  Yeah, Rhonda MADE that.  Made it.  Like, with needles and thread and lace and a boatload of patience.  And with the guidance and expertise of some of our other very talented wedding friends, she also created the floral arrangements (no big deal or anything) and took off running with the rest of the wedding plans.  Oh – and those cakes?  Yes, she also managed to find the time to construct two very amazing works of tasty wedding art, to include a Star Wars cake for Harry, who is a die-hard fan.

Personal touches on a wedding are what make the day special for a couple, and we love being able to capture those details as wedding photographers.  From the strawberry jelly favors – made especially by our groom using hand-plucked strawberries from his own back yard – to the sweet card box made by their grandmother, this family-centered event was such a blast for us to be a part of.  Fabulous job to all the wedding pros who had a hand in making this day so amazing!  And our hats are officially off to Rhonda for all the hard work she put into her sweet daughter’s perfect day!  Congrats, Brenda & Harry!  We loved getting to know you and wish you a million-trillion years of love and happiness!

The details of this GORGEOUS dress are beyond amazing!

Everyone say hi to Rhonda!

So it may have been a tad bit warm…

ryan’s wedding faves from 2011……

so this post is about three weeks too late, but hey we don’t like to be like everyone else. here is a collection of photos we shot in 2011 that i think shows what we are all about. we had such a blast this past year and are looking for an even greater one this year. thank you to all our brides for choosing pure7. we truly love each and everyone of you.

danna’s breathtaking bridal…

i am so in love with danna’s bridal photos!  for starters, she is absolutely beautiful.  when danna is in front of the camera, she owns it.  then you add the lovely eden gardens state park as the backdrop and the result looks a little something like these beauties.  this fall the colors at eden were so incredible i couldn’t get enough.  we have been lucky enough to get to know danna & her (now) husband, keegan, over the past year very well.  from their engagement, to the wedding, we feel like they’re family!  oh and stay tuned for some adorable images of their little man, landon, to make an appearance on the blog soon!

casey + brandon

today we feature some of our favorite images from our last wedding of 2011.  this couple could not possibly be any sweeter.  they’ve been together for 8 years and they’re barely old enough to drink!  while casey is in nursing school and brandon is braving through med school, they took some time to finally tie the knot and become mr. and mrs.!  this beautiful december afternoon could not have been any more perfect for an outdoor bayside ceremony.  we were so honored to be a part of these lovebirds’ wedding day and are excited to share some of our favorites with you!  enjoy!

a disney wedding fit for a princess….

This wedding was SO fun to photograph, for many reasons!  It was held at the beautiful Disney Yacht Club in Disney World, and it is always a treat to travel and photograph in a new location.  The enchantingly beautiful bride (Lindsay), is a former Disney “princess”, and a good friend of our bride (Katie; also a former Disney “princess”) whose Santa Rosa Beach wedding we photographed in March (click here to view).  We are so glad to now have had the wonderful experience of photographing two “princess weddings”!  Disney has some pretty strict restrictions on what you can and cannot say about such things, so lets just leave it at.  Needless to  say, Joslyn thinks her dad is a rock-star for photographing the weddings of two Disney VIP’s in the last year!  She always thinks when we go to Disney that the ‘princesses’ will recognize him.  Too cute!  After the wedding, we were able to stay a couple days and take our 3 kiddos to Magic Kingdom and Sea World, which of course was huge fun!

Without further adieu, we’d love to share with you some of these magical images. Lindsay was stunning in her Martina Liana gown, that had just a hint of peach that tied in the delicate color palette from her beautiful bouquet.  All of the beautiful little details from her Twigs & Honey & Emilliner hair adornments, to her fabulous navy glitter-adorned Kate Spade ‘charm’ bridal shoes, to the mink stole she wore post-ceremony (which was her grandmothers and served as her ‘something old’), and even the bag-pipe player, made this wedding such a treat to photograph. Lindsay & Robert have a love between them that shines through to anyone fortunate enough to meet them.  We are so blessed to have met them and had the opportunity to share in their beautiful wedding.  Thank you, Lindsay & Robert, for choosing us to be a part of such a grande event.  We are positive that a couple such as the two of you, will definitely be blessed with nothing but happiness everlasting!
