Romantic Wedding in Rosemary Beach | Randi & Ben

As a photographer who specializes in capturing the intimate and special moments of weddings on 30A, it is a blast working with amazing couples and learning their unique stories. Randi and Ben were no exception.

A small-town girl from southern Georgia and an avid Buckeye fan from Ohio met far away from their individual hometowns. In New York City, the two joined mutual friends to participate in a Santacon, an event where 100,000 people dress as Santa and go bar hopping in NYC. While Randi says Ben was charming, he didn’t manage to close the deal that night. Nearly one year later and some convincing from her best friend, and Randi hit Ben up on his offer for a date. One great date, a few burgers and beers, and the rest is history!

Using Randi’s birthday as a disguise, Ben timed the engagement after Randi’s arrival from an extended work trip in New York. When he picked her up at the airport, she had no clue what was going on. Ben had a record player and a gift for her birthday. He cued up to play Billy Joel’s New York State of Mind, and when Randi spun around, she found her to-be fiancé on one knee. The couple reflect on this moment as an incredibly special moment between the two of them, and they spent the remainder of the special day celebrating with friends and family.

Randi and Ben flew us to New York to shoot their engagement photos. Check out the blog with their photos here.

The moment Randi and Ben got engaged, they knew exactly where they wanted to get married…30A! Randi grew up going to 30A with her family and has a family home there. Early in their relationship, they would frequently escape the NYC winters with long weekends in 30A. It became such a special place where they shared so many special memories in their relationship, so Rosemary Beach was a no-brainer for their wedding location.

The couple wanted to make sure their wedding day was laid back and they could share their time with friends and family…and that is exactly what they did! They shared a first-look before the ceremony, which was one of the most special moments of their big day, and afterward enjoyed a pre-wedding celebration. One of Randi’s closest friends married the happy couple, and a sketch by Ben’s artistic mother was incorporated into many of their wedding elements. The entire day was a true testament to how important their family and friends are to them and how they have positively influenced their relationship.

Following the ceremony, Randi and Ben took off to Nicaragua, where they enjoyed a relaxing ceremony and reflected on their magical wedding on 30A. It was a great week of continued celebrations, while kicking off their marriage together. Best of luck to Randi and Ben as they embark on this next adventure!

Family Photos in Rosemary Beach | Evans Family

Year after year, Kim and Bruce Evans take their family on fabulous vacations where time shared equals memories treasured. These yearly vacations with Bruce, Kim, and their son, daughter, and their families is a great way to spend time together away from the everyday. Photographing this beautiful family as they enjoyed their vacation on 30A was truly a treat. They had us laughing and smiling through many funny, sweet, and tender moments.

Like many others, the Evans family visits Rosemary Beach, Florida to enjoy the beautiful beaches, but have discovered a more unexpected treasure – how much they love its walkability. They park their car on Saturday when they arrive and don’t get back into it until the following Saturday as they make their way back home. It’s a special treat to live sans-car for one week each year.

Each year, with every vacation and lots of family time, there are always good memories to hold onto. This year, the Evans family found the fame “Bananagrams” in the house they were staying. Having heard good things about the game, they gave it a go. Their word-creating abilities (and inabilities for some) tickled the family to tears. They told us that they hadn’t laughed that hard as a group maybe ever. Who knew that a banana-shaped pouch and its endless amount of letter tiles could create such humor! Sometimes it’s the simple things, the things unplanned and never packed in a suitcase that usher in the best memories.

Of course, their fun didn’t end with “Bananagrams”. It didn’t take long for the Evans to realize that eating in Rosemary is nothing short of hitting the culinary jackpot. They made us laugh, saying,  “When scheduling a photo shoot it is imperative to choose a date early in your stay to ensure that your outfit will remain true to size.”

Many of their mornings started with a trip to Charlie’s for the best donuts in America and enjoying a salad from Shades or a pizza from Cowgirl Kitchen for lunch. Dinner was dependent on whether they were dining in or out. If in, it was an order from La Crema. If out, they enjoyed Wild Olives most of all. With great food, even better wine, and a kid-friendly atmosphere, it couldn’t get much better.

We are so grateful they chose to share their vacation with us. Capturing their beach vacation memories and time together was incredibly fun, and we had a blast learning the individual quirks about each member of the family. Here’s to wishing them many more Rosemary vacations, each better than the last!

Pure 7 Studios is delighted to announce that Bombora Sun & Surf and The Rosemary Beach Cottage Rental Department has chosen us for a lifestyle photography shoot of one of the most exclusive communities along 30A: Rosemary Beach. At just over 100 acres, Rosemary Beach is truly a unique setting. Nestled along the picturesque coastline of Walton County, this microcosm of Paradise is home to those seeking a vacation from the common predicaments of modern day life. You’ll encounter everyone from casually clad families in town for a week to well-dressed celebrities taking a welcome break from Hollywood and Broadway. Senior Session in Rosemary Beach | Bailey Jenrich

When we were in the planning stages of this senior session, Bailey was considering doing something else with her hair.Pure7 Studios Senior Session Rosemary Beach Bailey Jenrich As soon as we saw these images, we were so glad she went au naturel! If curly hair was a perfect fit for anyone, it was most definitely this free-spirited dancer. We thought Rosemary Beach would be the perfect setting in which to capture this lovely girl’s senior session.

Rosemary Beach Wedding Video | Lauren & Andrew

With “feel’s like” temps climbing into the 100’s and seasonal traffic at the usual standstills for the typical no apparent reasons, we are pretty sure we’re not the only ones dreaming of fall. Rosemary Beach Wedding Video | Mary Grace & Chad

One of our best-loved wedding video highlight films now has a full-length version! We were absolutely dying to share it with you but had to wait until Mary Grace & Chad saw it first, so we contained ourselves until we got their thumbs-up. You know that feeling you got as a kid on Christmas Eve? That’s seriously how we feel waiting to hear from our clients when we send off a wedding video for approval. Their response was like coming downstairs to find a new Xbox under the tree.

“I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to relive these memories tonight.I absolutely love that our friends and family are the narrators throughout the film. Thank you so much for this gift – the ability to revisit such a beautiful night for years to come!” ~ Mary Grace & Chad Pinkard

There was so much we adored about this wedding video, not the least of which was the breathtaking Rosemary Beach Town Hall. At night. With votives and twinkle lights. The atmosphere was magical and the work of some of the top vendors on the Emerald Coast gave us fantastic sets on which to film scenes of this incredibly special day. The real content, though, came from the people.

Waves of Grace | Lake Family Portrait

Although this is definitely the thick of family portrait season, we shoot them pretty much year-round. Such was the case with the Lake family, who enjoyed our beautiful beaches during the cooler months courtesy of Nashville-based Waves of Grace. This organization is one of several that provide beach vacations for families dealing with cancer, giving them a refreshing, life-giving change of pace from daily routines defined by medical appointments and prescription refills.
Though they love living in Nashville, Jennifer Lake said she and her husband Bruce were so happy to have some time away from cancer treatments to laugh together and relax with their daughters. The sobering reality of their life for the past year or so made them appreciate more than usual the opportunity for family photos.
“Having our family pictures taken is a gift we will treasure for the rest of all our lives,” Jennifer said. “We feel it is a gift to future generations of the family, as well.” And the Lake family certainly has had a huge impact on future generations. Though there are only four of them in the photos, the Lake family tree has had 22 other family members grafted into it for a very special reason.

Wedding Highlights Video | Randi & Ben in Rosemary Beach

One of our favorite 30A weddings this year turned out to be the perfect example of what happens when all the elements come together for the ideal wedding highlights video.

We were lucky enough to both photograph and film Randi & Ben‘s engagement session in NYC and their wedding day in Rosemary Beach. We really have had just the best time with this couple since we met last summer. When Alan showed the rest of the Pure7 team their completed wedding highlights video, we could not wait to send it to the bride & groom, because we knew they’d be thrilled. And we were right.

“I have dying all day not to watch this until Ben and I were together today post work,” Randi wrote. “We just got our first (and second and third) peek and it is just perfect. Well done, Alan!! Thank you all for capturing it so perfectly. We absolutely love it!”
Nearly every detail of the day was perfect, including Ben’s toast. As a matter of fact, when the audio from his “how we met” story was paired with the cityscape footage from the Big Apple engagement session, even Nora Ephron could not have scripted a better intro.

Rosemary Beach Weddings | Ali & Brian

The understated elegance of Rosemary Beach was the ideal backdrop for Ali and Brian’s classic color scheme of black and white with gold accents. The event planner was absolutely thrilled with her destination wedding to her CPA groom, and they both thoroughly enjoyed their weekend in one of the most beautiful places along the Emerald Coast.

“So many people warned us it would go by quickly and we wouldn’t remember a thing,” Ali said. “We feel incredibly lucky because we remember every detail! The day as a whole was so fun and filled with so much laughter and love.” Even the flower girl yelling that she had to go potty in the middle of the ceremony was right in line with their self-described goofy personalities and has become a fond memory from this lively event.

Fun Rosemary Beach Highlights Film| Mary Grace & Chad

When we click “send” and that wedding highlights film we’ve fallen in love with leaves the coziness of our creative space and lands in our client’s inbox, we hold our breath until we hear from the bride. Does she adore it as much as we do? Will her best friend gasp with delight, her squeal of “Oh. My. Gosh!” causing her friends to drop what they’re doing and gather ’round her phone, watching it over and over? When the feedback comes in the form of a comment like this one posted on social media with a link to their film, we are ecstatic!

“So thankful for Pure7 Studios and this amazing wedding highlight film! Alan was seriously a (very talented) fly on the wall throughout the best weekend of our lives. Can’t wait to see more! I’m shocked by all the footage because I rarely knew he was around! Reliving these memories will never get old.”

Mary Grace and Chad Pinkard’s wedding was one of our favorites, and we were so excited to hear that they loved their film as much as we did. Of course, it really helped that we worked with fantastic vendors and wonderful clients in an absolutely breathtaking setting, and those are the combinations we live for. That pretty much guarantees a lot of attention to the key details that set the tone for this type of gorgeous events. It’s those details you’ll see in this film that can take a wedding from ordinary to extraordinary. We think this one definitely qualifies as extraordinary.
