Pure 7 Studios Rosemary Beach Lifestyle Photography 30A Community Walton County

Pure 7 Studios is delighted to announce that Bombora Sun & Surf and The Rosemary Beach Cottage Rental Department has chosen us for a lifestyle photography shoot of one of the most exclusive communities along 30A: Rosemary Beach. At just over 100 acres, Rosemary Beach is truly a unique setting. Nestled along the picturesque coastline of Walton County, this microcosm of Paradise is home to those seeking a vacation from the common predicaments of modern day life. From biking along the narrow, tree-lined streets to dining in any number of award winning local eateries; from window shopping at one-of-a-kind boutiques to finding that perfect piece of art for your home back in the real world, every moment spent here is a reminder of why you came. You’ll encounter everyone from casually clad families in town for a week to well-dressed celebrities taking a welcome break from Hollywood and Broadway. The one thing that everyone seems to have in common, regardless of their background, is their mutual acknowledgement that Rosemary Beach is an escape into contentment.

Senior Session in Rosemary Beach | Bailey Jenrich

When we were in the planning stages of this senior session, Bailey was considering doing something else with her hair.Pure7 Studios Senior Session Rosemary Beach Bailey Jenrich As soon as we saw these images, we were so glad she went au naturel! If curly hair was a perfect fit for anyone, it was most definitely this free-spirited dancer. We thought Rosemary Beach would be the perfect setting in which to capture this lovely girl’s senior session.

Rosemary Beach Wedding Video | Mary Grace & Chad

One of our best-loved wedding video highlight films now has a full-length version! We were absolutely dying to share it with you but had to wait until Mary Grace & Chad saw it first, so we contained ourselves until we got their thumbs-up. You know that feeling you got as a kid on Christmas Eve? That’s seriously how we feel waiting to hear from our clients when we send off a wedding video for approval. Their response was like coming downstairs to find a new Xbox under the tree.

“I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to relive these memories tonight.I absolutely love that our friends and family are the narrators throughout the film. Thank you so much for this gift – the ability to revisit such a beautiful night for years to come!” ~ Mary Grace & Chad Pinkard

There was so much we adored about this wedding video, not the least of which was the breathtaking Rosemary Beach Town Hall. At night. With votives and twinkle lights. The atmosphere was magical and the work of some of the top vendors on the Emerald Coast gave us fantastic sets on which to film scenes of this incredibly special day. The real content, though, came from the people.

Waves of Grace | Lake Family Portrait

Although this is definitely the thick of family portrait season, we shoot them pretty much year-round. Such was the case with the Lake family, who enjoyed our beautiful beaches during the cooler months courtesy of Nashville-based Waves of Grace. This organization is one of several that provide beach vacations for families dealing with cancer, giving them a refreshing, life-giving change of pace from daily routines defined by medical appointments and prescription refills.
Though they love living in Nashville, Jennifer Lake said she and her husband Bruce were so happy to have some time away from cancer treatments to laugh together and relax with their daughters. The sobering reality of their life for the past year or so made them appreciate more than usual the opportunity for family photos.

“Having our family pictures taken is a gift we will treasure for the rest of all our lives,” Jennifer said. “We feel it is a gift to future generations of the family, as well.” And the Lake family certainly has had a huge impact on future generations. Though there are only four of them in the photos, the Lake family tree has had 22 other family members grafted into it for a very special reason.

Wedding Highlights Video | Randi & Ben in Rosemary Beach

One of our favorite 30A weddings this year turned out to be the perfect example of what happens when all the elements come together for the ideal wedding highlights video.

We were lucky enough to both photograph and film Randi & Ben‘s engagement session in NYC and their wedding day in Rosemary Beach. We really have had just the best time with this couple since we met last summer. When Alan showed the rest of the Pure7 team their completed wedding highlights video, we could not wait to send it to the bride & groom, because we knew they’d be thrilled. And we were right.

“I have dying all day not to watch this until Ben and I were together today post work,” Randi wrote. “We just got our first (and second and third) peek and it is just perfect. Well done, Alan!! Thank you all for capturing it so perfectly. We absolutely love it!”
Nearly every detail of the day was perfect, including Ben’s toast. As a matter of fact, when the audio from his “how we met” story was paired with the cityscape footage from the Big Apple engagement session, even Nora Ephron could not have scripted a better intro.

Rosemary Beach Weddings | Ali & Brian

The understated elegance of Rosemary Beach was the ideal backdrop for Ali and Brian’s classic color scheme of black and white with gold accents. The event planner was absolutely thrilled with her destination wedding to her CPA groom, and they both thoroughly enjoyed their weekend in one of the most beautiful places along the Emerald Coast.

“So many people warned us it would go by quickly and we wouldn’t remember a thing,” Ali said. “We feel incredibly lucky because we remember every detail! The day as a whole was so fun and filled with so much laughter and love.” Even the flower girl yelling that she had to go potty in the middle of the ceremony was right in line with their self-described goofy personalities and has become a fond memory from this lively event.

Fun Rosemary Beach Highlights Film| Mary Grace & Chad

When we click “send” and that wedding highlights film we’ve fallen in love with leaves the coziness of our creative space and lands in our client’s inbox, we hold our breath until we hear from the bride. Does she adore it as much as we do? Will her best friend gasp with delight, her squeal of “Oh. My. Gosh!” causing her friends to drop what they’re doing and gather ’round her phone, watching it over and over? When the feedback comes in the form of a comment like this one posted on social media with a link to their film, we are ecstatic!

“So thankful for Pure7 Studios and this amazing wedding highlight film! Alan was seriously a (very talented) fly on the wall throughout the best weekend of our lives. Can’t wait to see more! I’m shocked by all the footage because I rarely knew he was around! Reliving these memories will never get old.”

Mary Grace and Chad Pinkard’s wedding was one of our favorites, and we were so excited to hear that they loved their film as much as we did. Of course, it really helped that we worked with fantastic vendors and wonderful clients in an absolutely breathtaking setting, and those are the combinations we live for. That pretty much guarantees a lot of attention to the key details that set the tone for this type of gorgeous events. It’s those details you’ll see in this film that can take a wedding from ordinary to extraordinary. We think this one definitely qualifies as extraordinary.

Why We Love Seaside Engagement Photos | Hannah & Sam

We love working on 30A. There are so many pretty beach communities that line the Gulf of Mexico and if you ask us, they are all on 30A. Lately Seaside seems to stand out as a top pick for engagement photos. The more we shoot there, the more we love it so today we’re using Hannah and Sam’s photos to talk about why we love Seaside engagement photos.

First there’s the obvious reason. Seaside has it all! We can choose the beach, the lush green trees that are native to Northwest Florida, or beautiful buildings that make up Seaside to serve as our backdrop.  Having so many different environments to work with gives couples a chance to show a different side of their personality. This is important because not everyone thrives or feels comfortable in the same settings.

Second, different backgrounds means different clothing. Just like certain environments can make you feel more or less comfortable; different colors or outfits do the same thing. You’ll notice in some of the photos Hannah chose to wear a dress. The way a woman feels in a dress is very different than being in a comfy sweater and jeans. The same thing goes for Sam. Bright colors attract different energy. We love Seaside for giving us easy excuses to diversify our engagement photos.

The third reason we love taking engagement photos in Seaside is because we can break up the session and get to know our clients as we move from place to place. Not everyone gets settled and comfortable being in front of the camera right way. Being able to explore Seaside with our couples helps inspire our work and makes each engagement session unique. It also encourages us to escape anywhere that doesn’t feel just right.

How To Get Romantic Engagement Photos | Colton & Mary in Rosemary Beach

If Mary Poppins had ever chosen to take a beach vacation it most certainly would’ve been to Rosemary Beach, Florida. It’s practically perfect in every way. That’s why it was the perfect place for Colton and Mary’s engagement photos. While getting engagement photos is probably a given, we want to share how to get romantic engagement photos like theirs.

  1. Choose a Professional. Unless you’re a model, it’s not everyday you get to be the subject of a photoshoot. So being photographed by a professional is a special thing. Special just like your engagement and the love that got you there. If you treat it like it’s special than the experience will be special and the photos will turn out so much better because everybody involved had a little more invested in it.
  2. Location. Location. Location. Whether it’s walking on the beach or somewhere in a city, pick a spot that is special and representative of you as a couple. It personalizes the entire experience and invites you to be yourselves. Recently, we traveled to meet a couple in NYC for their engagement photos because that’s where they met and fell in love. While they don’t live there anymore, New York is part of their story.  We saw a completely different side of their love in the city which is another testament to why location can make a difference. Pick a place that’s not just picture perfect but one that’s part of your love.
  3. Be yourself. It’s cliche but true that “everyone else is taken.” We bring this up because it’s really easy to get caught up in what other people have done before you. Everyone wants to give you advice. Sure, it’s all probably great advice but we’ve learned over the years that advice usually comes from experience. Don’t let what other people wanted for themselves dictate who you are or what you want. Be yourself and everything else will romantically fall into place.
  4. Coordinate Don’t Compromise.  Nothing is worse than having a big moment ruined by being told to wear something you hate. As you prepare for your engagement photos, pick outfits that look good together but still express who you are. Remember, you fell in love with your fiance for a reason. If it wasn’t for their fashion sense then help them out but don’t pull them so far from who they are they get uncomfortable. You can’t afford to compromise anyone being uncomfortable with how they’ll look on camera.
  5. Have Fun. There is a lot of stress that comes with planning a wedding and we’re determined to make sure getting engagement photos isn’t one of them. As you can see in Mary and Colton’s engagement photos, they look like they’re having fun because they are. They were able to do the first four things on this list which gave them the freedom and permission to experience this last one.
