I spent several minutes of my day today staring at the photo of all of the opened make-up and brushes. I find it stunning and hope when you look at it you agree. There are so many details in it I just kept working through it going back and forth.
It got me thinking about painting. I think it looks like a painter’s pallet. All of the tools and techniques used to create oil paintings or watercolors. As I continued to stare, I saw the make-up and thought about it’s application and the artistry needed to use all of the colors and brushes to express Meredith’s natural beauty. It was her wedding day after all. What a beautiful bride!!!
Eventually, I realized the piece of art I was really so taken with was the photo. This photo inspired me as it took me on a journey. It reminded me photography is art. Wedding Photography and Beach Family Portraits. Engagement Photos and Newborn Session. Our insanely amazing clients serve as the muse on each shoot allowing us to create art we love and they keep forever.

With so many of us looking at facebook, twitter, and instagram our lives are full of selfies. We need to revive the art of photography by taking it out of our phones and hanging it on our walls to inspire us everyday.
We should also be embracing Meredith and Michael’s decision to have THREE cakes at their wedding!!! YUM.
