Truth be told we are loving all the buzz from this year’s Digital Graffiti. It’s been around for almost a decade and is starting to catch on for both locals and visitors lucky enough to be in Alys Beach when it takes place. Per usual Ryan shot a bunch of the event photos and just last week we blogged the commercial videos Alan shot at DG for Facetime Photobooth. Today we’re sharing the pages of Pure7 photos featured in EC Magazine where Digital Graffiti lives on for just a little longer in the latest issue.

If you’re not familiar with the event or EC Magazine, check them out! Both are worth your time (and money). Especially since the latest issue includes our latest feature! While you’re at it, Alys Beach is also a great place to visit even if you can’t make it when DG is happening. Its beautiful beaches are often the backdrop for our wedding photography and family beach photos.

Digital Graffiti 2014 | Pure7 Studios Proud Sponsor

There is an entire culture of people who consider graffiti an art. After seeing some of the pieces by Banksy or Shepard Fairey and the messages they spread, we can’t disagree. Their pieces require artistic talent and much like musicians, painters, photographers and all artists; graffiti artists are inspired by the world around them.

We only bring this up because in just three weeks, the white walls of Alys Beach will become a gallery of graffiti art. The only catch? It’s all digital graffiti.  The city hosts a digital graffiti festival in conjunction with Visit South Walton, celebrating the talents of digital artists everywhere. Around this time each year artists come from all over the world to showcase their ability to design using the newest technology. Of course like all great festivals, Digital Graffiti attracts musicians, filmmakers, photographers, digital artists, and even celebrities.

If you’re not familiar with digital graffiti as an art form or event, you soon will be. Scroll through our photos and watch the Pure7  highlight video of Digital Graffiti 2014. Our work will show you everything you need to know. Plus, as digital artists in our own right, Pure7 Studios remains a proud sponsor of Digital Graffiti for the third year in a row.

Consider this your personal invitation to come join us at the festivities and see the latest digital graffiti up close and personal. The entire #Pure7Fam will be there doing what we do best – documenting all the happenings of the festival and celebrate the talented artists working outside our medium.

Buy your tickets for the Digital Graffiti festival (June 4-6th) on digitalgraffiti.com

Keep up with Digital Graffiti 2015 on Facebook, Twitter (@DGAlysBeach), and Instagram (@DJAlysBeach).

Can’t wait to see you there!

Digital Graffiti | Alys Beach Photography

If you haven’t experienced the awesomeness of Digital Graffiti, well, then, I’m afraid you just haven’t lived.  I mean, not to be all condescending or anything, but who on earth wouldn’t want to experience two nights of wicked-cool artwork projected digitally onto the pretty white backdrop of Alys Beach and a big ol’ party with fancy refreshments and block-rockin’ beats?  Color me crazy (see what I did there?), but this is only like THE party of the year.  And, as an official Digital Graffiti sponsor, we got to photograph it!  We’re even on the t-shirt and everything.  How cool is that?

Wanna know what else is cool?  These pictures!  That artwork!  The lady in the acrobat-contraption-thing hanging from the pretty tent (ok yeah, that was pretty much mind-blowing)!  The knock-your-socks-off Saturday night party where everyone danced and sang and sipped and laughed!  Oh, also – Alys Beach photography opportunities – that’s like the coolest thing, ever.

Life-sized Lite Bright!  Told you this event was super-awesome and cool!

If you haven’t experienced the out-of-this world amazingness that is the Caliza Pool, then you really need to meander on over there.  Soon.  Like, yesterday.  Ridiculous, I tell you.

What an amazing event!  We’re pretty darn honored to have been one of the Digital Graffiti event photographers and can’t wait to see what next year has in store!  (Erica’s looking forward to upping the ante and trying out for the acrobatic-swinging-lady gig.  We’ll be sure to dedicate an entire blog post to something that amazing…)
