We love that Courtney chose to start her Seaside wedding day by having her bridesmaids join her for morning yoga, because they definitely needed all their energy for this lively weekend! As you’ll see in the video at the end of this post, Courtney & Aaron’s Seaside wedding was a jubilant affair, filled with family, friends, and lots of laughter!
Rich Jewish traditions were woven throughout the entire day. As guests sipped champagne on the lawn at Ruskin Place, family gathered at Ruskin House for the signing of the Ketubah and their own special toast to the happy couple. Following the ceremony, enthusiastic guests were escorted by a live horn section through the cozy streets of Seaside to the next portion of the evening, held on Lyceum Lawn. There they were welcomed into a lavish tent drenched in breathtaking florals and chandeliers, and seated at gorgeous tables prepared for a wonderful celebration. As wine service began, the blessing over the wedding challah kicked off a reception that had guests dancing well into the night.
Courtney & Aaron met online on Jdate.com, which was fodder for the funny, yet touching poem Courtney’s parents read as one of numerous toasts to the bride and groom. It may have been the butt of a joke, but Jdate.com got the last laugh. Their first date at Herbsaint Restaurant on a Friday night in 2012 went so well that it turned into a second date Saturday night, which was followed by a day date that Sunday afternoon. They navigated a long-distance relationship for an entire year, finally settling in New Orleans. One October evening in 2014, Courtney came home to find Aaron (and their dog) waiting for her in the kitchen with candles, roses, and her favorite champagne. She joyfully accepted his proposal, and they headed to meet friends and family waiting at an engagement dinner at Galatoire’s Restaurant.
The couple embarked on a fabulous honeymoon that opened with four days in Napa and concluded with a sailing yacht cruise through the Tahitian islands. Though they ended up at the wrong winery at one point, which resulted in a very different tasting experience than expected, they still had fun because, as Courtney explained, they laugh a lot every day. We’re pretty sure you’ll pick up on that within the first few minutes of the Seaside wedding video at the end of this post!

To Courtney & Aaron, as well as to their entire family, we say, “Mazel tov!”
