Meet Audrey!

We recently did her senior photo session, and we had so much fun working with her! Audrey is not a local – she’s actually from Nashville, Tennessee! Her family has been vacationing here in Grayton Beach since she was little, so this area has always held a special place in her heart.

She is set to graduate from Brentwood Academy in 2019. Of all things, she is most excited to get away from the bad traffic on her drive to school… aren’t we all!

She recalls her first day of high school as a terrifying experience. In fact, just a few days later, she fell down the stairs in front of some of the seniors and remembers being quite embarrassed at the time. Now, she is able to look back on it and laugh.

Audrey has been active in her high school years as a tennis player and has also enjoyed her time with the Big Brother/Big Sister organization, mentoring young 6th graders as they enter middle school. With the help of her 9th grade Spanish teacher, she also had the unique experience of hosting an exchange student from Guatemala. The two girls became like sisters during the three-month visit.

Audrey’s mom has been her biggest supporter, constantly reminding her to choose happiness and joy even in the tough days. Audrey has realized over time to see the bright side of things, and she says that “each day is only as good as you make it!”

Some of Audrey’s favorite memories are tied to these beaches. One morning last summer, when paddle boarding with her best friend Grace, they got a special visit from the dolphins. Paddling alongside them at sunrise was like a dream come true!

After her senior year, Audrey plans to go to college, but first, she wants to spend her summer at the Academy of Makeup Arts in Nashville to learn about special effects makeup.
