It’s officially Fall along the Emerald Coast and with that comes cooler weather and plenty of things to do from 30A to Destin and beyond. We’ve pulled together a list of some noteworthy events happening over the next month or so that are definitely worth a look! Fun for the whole family, each one is sure to be a crowd-pleaser!
Destin Seafood Festival – From October 4th through 6th, the 41st Annual Destin Seafood Festival will take place in Harborwalk Village. Admission is free and this family-friendly event boasts live music on five stages throughout the weekend! There will also be multiple kids zones with games and activities geared towards kids up to 12 years old.
Best of the Emerald Coast – Celebrating top businesses in Destin and 30A, the 20th Annual Best of the Emerald Coast event will take place on Saturday, October 19th at Grand Boulevard at Sandestin. Not only will the event showcase the businesses who’ve won “Best of the Emerald Coast” for 2019, but there will also be sampling from some local favorite restaurants, plenty of shopping, and more. Tickets start at $40 each and all proceeds benefit the Junior League of the Emerald Coast.
Destin Fishing Rodeo – This annual fishing tournament runs through the month of October with saltwater anglers competing for awards every day! You can participate by fishing on one of the registered boats or just showing up for the fun. Weigh-ins are nightly at 7pm on the docks at AJ’s and are free and open to the public. There’s also a 5K Rodeo Run and family events every Saturday in October, along with a special Halloween event to end the rodeo on October 31st!
Baytowne Beer Festival – The Village at Baytowne Wharf will host the 12th Annual Baytowne Beer Festival on October 11th and 12th. There will be live music and samplings of over 200 domestic and international craft beers, along with VIP events if you’re looking for a more intimate experience. Tickets start at $35 and range depending on what you want to do throughout the festival.
Fall Concerts in the Village with MKAF – The Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation is hosting the 24th Annual Concerts in the Village through October 10th. Concerts are on Thursday nights from 7-9pm and the next two bands are Deja Vu and the Forrest Williams Band. Tickets are $15 or free for children 12 and under or MKAF members.
