Year after year, Kim and Bruce Evans take their family on fabulous vacations where time shared equals memories treasured. These yearly vacations with Bruce, Kim, and their son, daughter, and their families is a great way to spend time together away from the everyday. Photographing this beautiful family as they enjoyed their vacation on 30A was truly a treat. They had us laughing and smiling through many funny, sweet, and tender moments.

Like many others, the Evans family visits Rosemary Beach, Florida to enjoy the beautiful beaches, but have discovered a more unexpected treasure – how much they love its walkability. They park their car on Saturday when they arrive and don’t get back into it until the following Saturday as they make their way back home. It’s a special treat to live sans-car for one week each year.

Each year, with every vacation and lots of family time, there are always good memories to hold onto. This year, the Evans family found the fame “Bananagrams” in the house they were staying. Having heard good things about the game, they gave it a go. Their word-creating abilities (and inabilities for some) tickled the family to tears. They told us that they hadn’t laughed that hard as a group maybe ever. Who knew that a banana-shaped pouch and its endless amount of letter tiles could create such humor! Sometimes it’s the simple things, the things unplanned and never packed in a suitcase that usher in the best memories.

Of course, their fun didn’t end with “Bananagrams”. It didn’t take long for the Evans to realize that eating in Rosemary is nothing short of hitting the culinary jackpot. They made us laugh, saying,  “When scheduling a photo shoot it is imperative to choose a date early in your stay to ensure that your outfit will remain true to size.”

Many of their mornings started with a trip to Charlie’s for the best donuts in America and enjoying a salad from Shades or a pizza from Cowgirl Kitchen for lunch. Dinner was dependent on whether they were dining in or out. If in, it was an order from La Crema. If out, they enjoyed Wild Olives most of all. With great food, even better wine, and a kid-friendly atmosphere, it couldn’t get much better.

We are so grateful they chose to share their vacation with us. Capturing their beach vacation memories and time together was incredibly fun, and we had a blast learning the individual quirks about each member of the family. Here’s to wishing them many more Rosemary vacations, each better than the last!
